Negotiation parts: It's not a matter of the network getting big enough that an *AI* "appears". It's a matter of it getting big enough to the point that *Consciousness itself* begins to exist in it. Your brain is a series of billions and billions of neurons that interact with each other. Through these interactions, your consciousness exists. We can probably both agree that if you only had 10,000 neurons that you wouldn't be the same entity that you are right now. It's a question of at what point does consciousness itself, begin to exist within a system like that?
